Dr. Daniel Jackson
Stargate the movie and Stargate SG-1 websites acknowledging and celebrating the unique contributions made by Dr. Daniel Jackson, the archaeologist/linguist who opened the Stargate in the movie. Daniel Jackson is played by James Spader in the movie and by Michael Shanks in the TV show Stargate SG-1. Please note that some sites may contain adult content.

Coincidentally enough, there is another Michael Shanks (no relation) who is a real life archaeologist, while Michael Shanks the actor portrays an archaeologist on the television show Stargate SG-1.
In the meantime, I just have to create those realistic goals about the fact that I don't have a ton of options as an actor who's been on a science fiction show for 8 years.
