The St. Patrick's Day Ring
A special ring for all St. Patrick's Day sites. We welcome poetry, graphics, and other types of sites.
As with all my rings there are 2 main rules.
1. All sites must be family safe. No porn or racial hate please.
2. The ring code must be installed on the page you submit.
I've created a forum for my rings. A place to ask questions and hopefully get answers about navbar codes or anything else webring related. If you are a member of any of my rings you are welcome to join. And if you have any rings of your own or you have created a new ring you can tell about it here.
The "y" in signs reading "ye olde.." is properly pronounced with a "th" sound, not "y". The "th" sound does not exist in Latin, so ancient Roman occupied (present day) England used the rune "thorn" to represent "th" sounds. With the advent of the printing press the character from the Roman alphabet which closest resembled thorn was the lower case "y".
Whenever I dream, it seems I dream Of Erin's rolling hills Of all its lovely, shimmery lakes and little babbling rills I hear a Colleen's lilting laugh across a meadow fair And in my dreams its almost seems to me that I am there O, Ireland! O', Ireland! We're Never far apart For you and all your beauty fill my mind and touch my heart.
